So 12hrs gap leeda ? Vijayawada city itself received record rainfall in decades. Do you think everything is all clean on the roads during those 12 hours? Again, there could be some negligence but I am not sure how they could have predicted they have exactly 12 hours or what that 12-hour mark means. These 12 hours are for the city to receive 1 foot of water. or what exactly is this?

CanadianMalodu
On 9/9/2024 at 9:49 AM, andhra_jp said: If we look at the timeline, unprecedented rains occurred from August 30 to August 31, with the rain stopping by the evening of August 31. However, there was no flooding in the interior areas at that time. The flooding only occurred on the morning of September 1, about 12 hours after the rain had stopped. The reason is simple: the Budameru gates were opened around midnight, in the early hours of September 1. Three possible reasons have been cited for this: 1. The Krishna River was flowing at maximum capacity and couldn’t accommodate the Budameru’s flow. 2. There was pressure from the VTTPS (power plant). 3. To save CBN's house from flooding (Yes Budameru diversion can effect CBN house) Whatever the reason, when the decision was made to open the gates at midnight, there was more than enough time to evacuate people from the affected areas. It’s shocking to think why no evacuation took place. It was obvious that the Budameru would overflow, as it can only accommodate < 10,000 cusecs at best, but that day it was flowing at > 30,000 cusecs. Common sense dictates that it would inevitably overflow. Baboru "Nee 500 kotlu evadiki kavali? Naa asthi laksha kotlu". So that house itself doesn't mean much to him, but flooding of that house will be a disaster to brand Amaravathi. Already about 60-70% CRDA area was flooded. If his house gets flooded that means prime Amaravathi area is prone to floods too. Repu TANA thandana or RE people will try to sell NRIs land in Amravathi. What happens then ? CM kompake dikku ledhu ani, evadu kontadu? Investors dekaru. So Baboru, tamuku vese RK tho kalisi dekhi, bezjawada ni durgamma sakshi ga munchesaru.
