Venezuela is America’s one of the playgrounds… they imposed lot of sanctions that cut off the country from the international market and banks, blocked technology transfers, etc.. same with Cuba too.. now many of those country’s population is migrating to US now..

The same thing will happen to Pakistan. US will start selling F-16’s, Chevron and Exxon will start exploring, You will see US air craft carriers stationed to maintain peace and slowly they will start imposing sanctions, restrict their oil supply, restrict their defense purchases…Pakistan will get richer domestically but end up as another sanctioned state.

As long as they get along well with US, they are good. They continue to get foreign investments in the oil sector and also keep their oil infrastructure well maintained..  if they try to nationalize and kick out US companies, then sanctions will start.. Entire west will block them from selling oil or do global transactions..

Same story with Cuba, Venezuela, Libya, Iran, Russia, etc etc
