Just my 2cents, if you are planning to own any car for more than 5 years and are averaging to drive more than 10k miles a year go for a hybrid bare minimum.

I have a different view , if you are not in Costly Gas states like CA or NY

Normal Hybrids dont offer much , reason there will be a difference of 8-10 miles mileage and if you are driving 12k per year thats mostly 500-700$ savings per year. ( estimating 1 Gallon around 3$-4$)

Normal cars vs Hybrid cost will be 6000-7000$ extra.. so even in 5 years we do not recover that extra money.

where as with plug in hybrids, u can charge daily and use as daily commuter for upto 30 miles and even then for me it wont make much difference as i am shelling out more money out of pocket and paying more interest on the capital.

Correct ey bro, but if your commute is 70% City vs 30% FWY. Then your savings are around 1.2k for 12k mile range a year. Also, Hybrids has a better 5~10% resale value.

Ya it doesn't make sense if gas in your state doesn't cost much as CA, NY or you are predominantly using this vehicles for freeway driving.

Regular Hybrids are not much to love for me from a cost savings standpoint.

There is hybrid performance degradation over time, and they cost more to own in the long.

PHEVs are a total diff game though!

skip the warranty and service warranty, they're not worth it. Save that money and use it when needed for repairs

first 46k miles ki you'll need about 6 oil changes, one brake flush, wiper blades may be once and brakes depending on how you drive. If brake job is included, you can consider it if not total waste of money

You REALLY don't have to pay 2k for that

fro 63k, i'll skip the warranties and buy an acura for that price

Lose the warranties, shop around with different Honda outlets

Did you consider Highlander Hybrid or any other Hybrid options?

Hybrid options cost around 2.5k more and you will see savings in 4-5 years typically (depends on the car though), would recommend buying Hybrid if you can

usually Hybrid costs 2.5-3k bro, not 6-7k, ofcourse depends on car and dealership but this was the difference last year

No need of extended warranty for Hondas.. usually Honda dealerships give 100k miles power Tran warranty, that’s enough
