No. No one lost their lives. 

Unfortunately we are misguided and history is distorted. In the 70’s and 80’s, Communist parties had considerable strength and they have used Vizag Steel plant issue as their main point of agitation to attack ruling govt which was Congress. 

State govt land aquire chesindi and compensation was also paid then, back then land acquisition laws were not so string as they are today yet many people got jobs. 
 

Nuvve practical ga alochinchu, oka PSU kosam evadanna identity and self respect ni attach chestada ? It was an attempt by communist parties to stay relevant in politics..
