A lot of stadium's were built in 2003 to support them. In fact a lot of stadiums were built just for this purpose around the city. Gachibowli, LB Nagar and other locations. 

But kalakramena, once the event was done, they were not much used as there was not much enthusiasm from people to learn/practice them. Or may be SAI did not promote them. I do not know their usage now. 

Only badminton got popular.

Coming to corruption, most of these stadiums were built with massive kickbacks and corruption. Present day ISB vunna area, IVRCL towers, Ella hotel anni games kosam kattinave and atarvata converted to luxury residneces and sold off. What has Orissa did that CBN did not? Sports medicine, etc are things that are slowly developing now. He has provided infrastructure and its upto SAI and other sports associations to take it forward. Except cricket no other sport is played much in india. 

Gopichand proved what good coaching can do to Badminton and the sport is flourishing in india. Even Orissa is welcoming it now. Why don't you talk about how YSR created trouble for him and tried to take away lands that's allotted by Govt?

Same with Chess and now Archery with the recent developments. 

How do you know the accusations you made above did not happen in Orissa? 

There is good and bad in every person, every politician and every govt. You only see bad in others and good in your community leaders as per your convenience.

Do you see the difference ? I was a volunteer for Afro Asian Games. So, I clearly had an idea from first hand. CBN era la ae ae stadiums vachinayi and vati situation ipudu emaindi ? Are they being pit up to proper use ? Sports encouragement kosam infra katyadam okay, but what about maintenance ? Once the event is over, what to do ? Did CBN had a plan ?

You are comparing 2003 with 2024. Huge difference. It's very easy to write Sustainable, plan, vision, Sports Infrastructure -> At the end of the day it's all about adoption and generating enough revenue via sponsors or kids taking up these games. I hope Odisha succeeds in making this successful. 

You don't see the Sports Infrastructure updates, graphics, PPTs in Odisha on X as publicity stunt? It's a publicity stunt only when CBN does it? If only you understand, publicity is very much needed for the growth and brand image of a City/State. 

Hosting Asian Games/Olympics, etc. are pride for a state/nation. He built good infrastructure those days and made the event a success getting good name to the city. That's also building brand. You expect that NO infra is built for these games and give sub-standard facilities to the athletes?

Right. This is the problem with CbN. He does stuff just to promote himself in the name if promoting the state plus hidden deals. That’s why the infra that was built is now lying idle.

Did you see how the same infra is being put to use in Delhi and Haryana ? Athens too conducted olympics for the sake of pride and look what happened later.

Are you crazy kaka ? 

Five acres of state Industrial infrastructure land in a notified special economic zone given away just like that for a badminton coaching academy ? All that was acquired from common people to set up SEZ’s where calculation work differently. An acre provides employment yo hundreds and brings in revenue plus ancillary businesses.  

Why not give away existing facility which was also built by CbN on long lease basis to set up an academy ? What was the need to give away five acres just to set up a greenfield academy ? 

Gachibowli complex apude kada buikd chesindi by the same visionary…what was the need for another academy in financial district when you already built a new stadium ?

Give credit where it is due. To Orissa now ( Naveen Patnaik did much of the work) and to CBN led Hyderabad back in early 2000s.

CBN was ridiculed for his plan of slowly building the infrastructure starting with National Games, Afro Asian and then moving on to  Common wealth , Asian and Olympics. His Olympics and Formula one comments attracted much ridicule.

We wouldn't know what would have happened because he never made it back to power in Hyderabad but can't blame the man for Starting the journey and  dreaming big. 

YSR moved away from that knowing peoples sentiments, then reeling from droughts, were against any games.

KCR could and should have made an impact with the surplus budget he limited himself to  building swimming infrastructure in his farmhouses. 🥲

Lets see what Revanth has in plan.
