Assam_Bhayya
Telangana Student Drowns in Toronto Lake A man from Telangana, Praneeth, who had gone to Canada to pursue his Masters degree, tragically drowned while swimming with friends in a lake in Toronto. The incident occurred while he was celebrating his birthday. Praneeth, from Meerpet in Telangana, lost his life on his birthday. His family has been informed, and his father has requested the government to expedite the process of bringing his son's body back to India. Praneeth had moved to Canada in 2019 for his studies, while his elder brother relocated there in 2022. A video showed Praneeth jumping into the lake, and another video captured him taking a selfie with friends on a motorboat. Both brothers, along with other friends, visited the lake to celebrate Praneeth's birthday on Saturday. On Sunday, they went swimming. While everyone returned, the younger one, Praneeth, did not, his grieving father shared with reporters.

Gaali_Gottam_Govinda
This is main difference between kids who are raised in Landlocked Cities and coastal cities. I spent my first 10 years in Vizag and next 20 years in Hyd. I used to go to beach and every month and got used to some swimming. Many kids who were raised in Vizag know the basics of swimming where as many kids in Hyd have never had the experience of swimming in childhood and teenage life... Pools in Hyd were only limited to rich class and lakes lo swimming concept Hyd lo undadu as many of them are polluted. US lo adventure and fun ani cheppi direct gaa ila

Depth is never an issue if you're a swimmer. Float avvadam and recovery is easy if you know the basics. Yeah Water flow intensity chooskovali and many people panic when they slip on a rock or sudden gaa the depth goes deep inside the water... they take 1 wrong step and they Panic immediately since they have don't know how to recover back to previous step...... In panic take 2-3 more wrong steps in next sec. then it its a chain reaction. Experienced swimmers won't panic and have good judgement when to come back.

Swimming proper ga vasthey depth tho sambandham ledhu. Water flow and direction will wear you down if you're only swimming in the opposite direction. If you swim with the flow, it's actually easier. Other risks may be Whirlpool, hypothermia, or animal attacks. But ivevi Toronto lake lo undavu. It only makes me think that he don't know how to swim properly or got exhausted because of lack of stamina/energy.

Joker_007
I believe the water temp is not above 60 degree ... One of the major cause for the death ...even for good swimmers... Indian's go into Shock with in Minutes when compared to Locals. Even though you know Swimming it is not like in India.. Most of the water bodies are clear where the bottom is visible which make you think that it is not much depth but actually it is...
