In court he will say police pressured me to give that statement ani.. The lawyer will request for a supplemental statement which attorney will refuse, Arguments will run for another 6 months finally court will say supplemental is not needed and case can be proceed further , then the defendant will go to higher court to quash the order... the case will be dragged for another 8 months and High court will quash the defendant petition. He will go to supreme court as he has the enough money to run the case in SC. The case will be dragged for another 4 months..  Once SC gives a verdict based on it he can go for a review petition (if it is not in his favor which happens for 80% of the cases), he can drag for another 2 months. Total 20 months will be wasted whether the Remand Report can be considered or not ani.

In the mean time there would be multiple false cases will be filed on the victim or the character assassination's will be done in these 20 months. if the victim is a fighter like the lady in hotel Saravana Bhavan Hotel Proprietor case,  then the case will go for another 5 years else the victim will withdraw the case as her life would be made living hell..
