Planning for a 1 week vacation from West Coast to East Coast... Experts please suggest some travelling destinations.. Travelling with 6 yr and 3 yr old kids. TIA

September third week to October first week is the peak season usually 

New Hampshire and New England are popular destinations but Vermont also  good and if you drive further Maine Acadia also good

 

may be you can plan this way, drive to new hampshire via vermont and next Acadia and in return you can cover New England

Bro , Please can you share more info on Newhampshire from NJ . What are the kids activities will be there in newhamshire, only fall colors they won’t enjoy much .

in New Hampshire you can try  mt Washington Cog railway, Franconia aerial tram way, Whale's Tale Waterpark..etc

just search it for Franconia and Kancamagus Pass

you will find plenty if family activities
