how many years as Sr SE is too many? 

Software Engineering Manager position ki chance undey company lo kaani, it was too much of people/process management than being technical. At least 20-30% coding/technical challenges lekapothe, chee anipisthundi  in the present state of mind. 

Unfortunately Architect ani position not that common in the companies I worked.

Just change jobs with higher salary.. new company brings new applications, new technologies, new teams and new challenges.. 

Business based companies lo Application Architect, Solutions architect and Prinicpal Architect, Distinguished Architect, Architecture team director - ilaa untaayi..
