went on a weekend

Costco reminded me of tirunallu, you would wonder if they are giving items for free, almost like a tourist spot over the weekends where entire families visit

endhi ba idhi, also went to sams on same day to pickup something not available in costco, felt it was less rushed (may be a 1/4th of people at Costco)

I also noticed some of the items were also a bit cheaper like 1-2$ in some cases at Sams, offers/discounts are also a match in sams, Ex: if there is a 9$ off on some branded medicine etc, its the same in both, wonder why people don't go to sams, kirkland brand reputation baga working out anukunta, ppl feel costco is higher quality, is that really the case?

Overview of Member's Mark and Kirkland

Member's Mark is the private label brand for Sam's Club, while Kirkland Signature is Costco's private label. Both brands offer a wide range of products, including food, household items, and personal care products.

Supplier Relationships

Many products under the Member's Mark and Kirkland brands are indeed produced by the same manufacturers. However, they often have different specifications set by the respective retailers. This means that while the same factories may produce items for both brands, the final products can differ in quality, formulation, or features based on the retailer's requirements

Both Member's Mark (a private label of Sam's Club) and Kirkland Signature (Costco's private label) are well-known for providing quality products at competitive prices. While these brands often source their products from top manufacturers, it's possible that they share some suppliers for certain items, as many private labels contract with established manufacturers that produce goods for multiple brands.

However, neither Sam's Club nor Costco disclose their full supplier lists, so the exact overlap is not public information. In some instances, it has been revealed that both brands use the same suppliers for similar products, like coffee, household items, and paper goods, but it can vary by product category.

Members Mark and Kirkland Signature are both private label brands, meaning they are owned and sold exclusively by their respective retailers: Sam's Club and Costco. While it's possible that some suppliers may provide products to both brands, it's highly unlikely that they would be identical.

Here are a few reasons why:

Exclusive Contracts: Both retailers often negotiate exclusive contracts with suppliers to ensure they have unique products.
Quality Standards: Each retailer has its own specific quality standards and requirements, which may vary slightly.
Branding and Packaging: The branding and packaging of the products are designed to reflect the specific retailer's image.
In conclusion, while it's possible for some suppliers to work with both brands, it's more likely that Members Mark and Kirkland Signature have their own unique suppliers and product lines to differentiate themselves in the market.

Liquor - Cant beat the prices. Lowest or almost lowest compared to other places.

Return policy is amazing.

Clothes - Cheaper compared to malls or other places. They have tie-ups with decent brands and even styles are good.

Milk & Eggs -> Cheaper than most places. Essentials.

1 Stop place for everything with competitive prices compared to others.

Food tasting is an added attraction. Who doesn't like free food?

Cheap food options to sit and eat or to-go esp in these Inflation days. Where do you get that size pizza for $10.

Gas - Competitive prices and you get 3% points for rewards.

Kirkland -> Their own brand with much cheaper prices compared to other branded items. For e.g. Branded toilet paper was $30 and Kirkland was $20. Same with diapers. People do not want to spend on use-less but essential items like this.
