they will put someone at the exits to check receipts rather than man the counters.

i think its more to do with getting back to older method of counters as ppl like it. or some competition nearby providing enough counters. HEB generally has enough counters and i prefer it.

mana desis are considered good spending customers by costco and walmart.  edo speculation by the poster ante.

Retail theft is huge..

with the self checkout counters, it has gone up a lot… most ppl prefer self checkout than interacting with a person.. 

One Home Depot manager told me that people steal wires and other high priced items from their stores very often by just putting them in a cart and leave.. they cannot block them as that becomes criminal and legal  issue if he attacks.. they were clearly instructed to just call the cops but not stop them..

They will come back once they fixed the loop holes in it.. the problem is with the under charging.. they are fixing it...
