i know multiple people (tech guys) who did MBA to go into leadership role.

Reality, they are still doing the tech role.

To be in leadership role, you need skills to work the room, network, build relationships, formulate positive first impressions, etc

if you have these skills MBA will be a value Add ... else, you will gain some knowledge but not drastic change

you are not going to get into investment banking, consulting or hedge funds etc just like that.  MBA chesi IT job manager avudamu anukunte they are wasting their time.
also a lot of universities exclude part time mba from their placement services. nyu stern used to do that, not sure now.

Bro, switch to a program or product role with in your company

you need a lot of communication in day to day work, could be exhausting for introverts

If you are an extrovert, good at communication, then switch to these roles and give it a try, you can switch back if you don't like them

but keep in mind that once you go into product, program it becomes extremely difficult to return to engineering

lot of mbas in tech end up in these product/program roles but they have a slight headstart compared to others
