498a, dv, attempt murder petali ani inlaws and friends cheputaru women ps ki vellagne very common.

case petali ante police has to investigate and have evidence to prove it. first aite family and husband ps ki station velutaru bail mida evening bayatiki vastaru not a big problem. NRI aite 5 or 6 months waste avutundhi India lo unte.

friend case lo husband in Usa em cheyaleka husband family ni ps ki ramantunaru, kodalini tesukopo or settlement chesuko for huge amount.

1. Ask his parents to file for an anticipatory bail. Since 498a was not yet filed.

2. Don't go to police station at all, if they need to go then have a lawyer with them.

3. If she lived with her husband in US, it's even more difficult for police to reach his parents as the wife's matrimonial home is not shared.

4. NEVER compromise in 498a. Some time and patience is needed. Onus of evidence lies on the wife. If she can't show the evidence, then she will eventually loose. Don't give into police or lawyers pressure. It just takes time, but patience pays off. 

5. False 498a is ground for divorce. Courts consider this as psychological torture and even waive alimony.
