This is what I had in 2015, ipudu don’t know but posting just for info 

 

 

1. Original I-797 along with I-94 and receipt number (EAC**********)

2. Labor documents -Labor and I-129 (These documents can be brought from employer ask employer H1 documents for stamping along with reference letter)

3. Previous W2

4. If employer changed then Letter from previous employer 

5. Tax Returns

6. Client Letter   (make sure you have the contact information of the person who signed the letter)

7. Vendor Letter (At the first step employer name should be mentioned that this person is a employee of XYZ company (XYZ is employee))

8. E-Mail screen shots from Client mail (6-7 different screen shots where you are involved in the e-mail chain)

9. Time sheets for 2 to 3 months

10. Pay checks for 6 months (3 is fine but to be on safer side)

11. 2 to 3 Pictures taken at client location where the client name is visible in the picture

12. Masters transcripts (Along with all I-20's starting from first school to H1 approved school)

13. Client Id card

14. DS-160 Appointment Confirmation

15. Bank Statements for 3 months

16. Original Resume

17. ID card(Drivers license or State Id)

18. CGI refernce form (this is the one we use to pay amount in India Bank Axis or Citi bank)

19. All Certificates from School to B.Tech (Color copies)

20.   OPT cards if completed masters( Make sure to know when you were graduated and when did your OPT start )

Im not sure about the policital thing but make sure we have clean record ..
