In a significant development for public healthcare in Andhra Pradesh, Minister Nara Lokesh has successfully fulfilled another key election promise by securing cabinet approval to upgrade the Mangalagiri Government Hospital to a 100-bed area hospital. The announcement has sparked celebrations among Mangalagiri residents who have long awaited this development.

The Mangalagiri Government Hospital, originally established in 1986 by former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, is now set for its biggest expansion since its founding. The hospital, which had been limited to outpatient services for many years, will now serve as a comprehensive healthcare facility for the region.

Nara Lokesh, who pledged this upgrade during his Yuva Galam padayatra , has demonstrated remarkable efficiency by securing the cabinet’s approval within just four months of taking office. The expansion plan was presented at today’s cabinet meeting and received immediate approval, marking a swift transition from promise to implementation.

Mangalagiri residents and members of the Hospital Development Committee celebrated the announcement by cutting a cake at the hospital premises. They praised Lokesh for his quick action, noting that while many political leaders had previously received their petitions for hospital upgradation, he was the first to deliver concrete results.

People have drawn a meaningful parallel between generations of leadership, pointing out that while NT Rama Rao established the hospital, his grandson Nara Lokesh is now advancing its development to meet modern healthcare needs. This upgrade is seen as part of Nara Lokesh’s broader vision to make Mangalagiri a model constituency for development and welfare in the country.

The expansion is expected to significantly improve healthcare access for Mangalagiri residents. The upgrade from a basic facility to a 100-bed area hospital will enhance both the scope and quality of medical services available to the local population.

This achievement adds to Lokesh’s growing list of fulfilled election promises, demonstrating his commitment to constituency development. The hospital upgrade is being viewed as a demonstration to his focus on implementing practical solutions to long-standing public needs.
