He is right ... But the mind set is changing a little bit now .. Entrepreneurship has increased and lots of startups .. But they should start focusing on originality rather than copy ideas (Zomato, Money transfer apps, etc) .. Venture capitalists are also increasing. It will take time, but its a start.

I disagree. Call any entrepreneur and ask them what their goals are. No one will give you a unique and innovative answer. Either pakkanodini copy kottadam leda money making is their goal. Ground breaking stuff ravadam kashtam. Corrupt to the core in addition. Lite. Mundu desam bagupadali.

Regarding entrepreneurship I said same thing. It’s increasing but no new ideas. It will improve

It's a tacit business understanding. Big US Corps don't give them business if body shops like Infy, TCS etc start building their own products. Even if they tried to build any there will be an acquisition through market buying legit or hostile.

adi nijame anukunna, they could create erp or some enterprise products for india or other emerging markets. they  could spin it as a separate entity. there are ways to get around separating their consulting business from their product business.

You still can't compete with them as big US Corps have generous backing of US Congress that keep them loaded with $$ both through stimulus and tax cuts that India can't afford. Then there is fed that prints $$ in a tacit support.

Retaliation in terms of tariffs would result in trade war that a country like India with trade surplus can't afford. You are at their mercy.

So why fight them in the first place? Cut a deal and make $$. Easy peasy and preach youth of India to sacrifice their youth for body shops. Indian youth think US as holy grail for to solve their problems, or rather an escape route. Our bragging rights come from being in US afterall, right?
