- sequels, forced 

- franchises, cringe worthy 

- high ticket prices, though production costs are not much

Only Malayalam industry is immune so far...thank God we still get some sensible movies

Malayalam lo kuda konni 60-100 cr budget petti thisaaru.. they flopped badly.. 

Bahubali- they spent lot of money on making.. the quality of the film shows very clearly.. 

other movies they spent a lot on remunerations and long shoots.. SVP lo lolbob kosam beach set veyyadam, Waltair veerayya lo ship set, ilaaga..

Beach set, sea/ships in waltair and devara are jokes... Just because they are from Big heroes people are afraid to criticize, but if it's small hero they will be outright rejected.

Devara production cost cant be more than 50C... Rest all remuneration and padding

Production cost has increased a lot.. anni green mat vesi theesi or pedda pedda sets vesi, tarvata vfx chestunnaru.. remunerations have doubled and tripled for actors and technicians too… 

aa mythri and people media thappa evaru ekkuva budget petti peddagaa movies thiyyatledu.. on average, they are barely breaking even or making a loss on all their movies.. they made lot of money in their other ventures and pouring it in the film industry..

that's the narrative they want you to believe. look at budgets of malayalam movies. look at hanuman movie budget. 

If pushpa rates are as high as they are projecting them to be...I sincerely wish it bombs at box office.

Malayalam movies mostly single schedule and 2-3 months lo complete chesthaaru.. 40-50 days shoot time.. Telugu movies ki 120 days shoot across an year.. for big movies like pushpa or so, may be 200 days across 2-3 years.. same scene chekkuthaa untaaru for days..

if you look at any Malayalam hero, they release 4-5 movies a year.. even mammootty and mohanlal..

agree about some of the points, i don't see why a movie like devara needed so many days to shoot. they have a small pond in a set and couple of more sets. 2nd half of the movie is a copy of first half with same storyline . What's there to warrant price hikes ? 

Movies like ghaji , sita ramam has more sets and production cost than this atrocious cringe movie.
