These will do nothing except increase the cost of end product on consumers.

American manufacturing cost is very high compared to Chinese or Mexican ,10-20% increase won't result in anything except extra money to govt and less disposable income to consumers.

 it will only cause more inflation in prices ,Chinese will increase the prices due to tariffs because because they know Americans can't manufacture even at the increased price from tariffs.

The company has reported that two-thirds of the merchandise sold at Walmart US and 93 percent of the merchandise sold at Walmart Mexico is "manufactured, grown or assembled in the country". This is due to a 2021 commitment to invest $350 billion in domestically produced products.
