Teluguredu
These will do nothing except increase the cost of end product on consumers. American manufacturing cost is very high compared to Chinese or Mexican ,10-20% increase won't result in anything except extra money to govt and less disposable income to consumers. Sucker
Why will prices rise at Walmart and other stores with Donald Trump as president? Here's what you need to know Walmart strives to consume local goods The company has reported that two-thirds of the merchandise sold at Walmart US and 93 percent of the merchandise sold at Walmart Mexico is "manufactured, grown or assembled in the country". This is due to a 2021 commitment to invest $350 billion in domestically produced products. Rainey said he believes Walmart will work to avoid being affected by Trump's proposed policies. "We've been living in a tariff environment for seven years, so we're quite familiar with that," he told CNBC. "However, tariffs are inflationary for customers, so we want to work with suppliers and with our own private label assortment to try to reduce prices." "Approximately 40% of our cost of goods sold is sourced outside the U.S., and that includes both direct imports as well as domestic brands through our vendor partners," Lowe's (LOW.N) Chief Financial Officer Brandon Sink said on Tuesday. "And if we look at the potential impacts (of tariffs), it would certainly add to product costs."
