A friend received an "Intent to Revoke" notice for their H1B. Here's the situation:

  • In 2023, he was working for Company A, where USCIS conducted a verification. A few months later, he resigned and joined Company B.
  • Since both companies are in California, they didn’t file an amendment after joining Company B.
  • Recently, they received a mail from Company A regarding the "Intent to Revoke."

The consultancy advised him to switch to an H4 EAD (based on their spouse's visa) since he currently don’t have a job. They also suggested that switching back to H1B later would be easier once they secure a new job.

Would switching to H4 EAD now and later returning to H1B be a smooth process?
