The next question anchor should be asking " Then what are Hindus doing in a Buddhist shrine?".

personally i dont care whats his religion is while working at any shrine as long as he does a good job. if he is corrupt he should be removed regarding his religion.  i believe religion shouldnt be the benchmark to judge a persons work at any holy place, i am just pointing out what pawan said  "Can you go to Mecca and ask hindus to be there in their administration?" likewise tirumala is a buddist shrine once, which was captured by hindus (to be particular brahmanism). According to pawans logic hindus shouldnt be working at any level in tirumala only buddists should be working in tirumala.

I agree with his decision but I think he explanation was bad.

"Religious beliefs cannot be merged with administration. While we believe in coexistence, we expect those values are imbibed only in Hinduism. So, we decided to put only Hindus incharge of this."

To answer your question u need to understand where did vaishnavism come from and how then brahmins converted buddhist aramas and viharas to temples and mathas

This is swami vivekananda's quote

Disciple: Does the taking of fish and meat give strength? Why do Buddhism and Vaishnavism preach “अहिंसा परमो धर्म:—Non-killing is the highest virtue”?

Swamiji: Buddhism and Vaishnavism are not two different things. During the decline of Buddhism in India, Hinduism took from her a few cardinal tenets of conduct and made them her own, and these have now come to be known as Vaishnavism. The Buddhist tenet, “Non-killing is supreme virtue”, is very good, but in trying to enforce it upon all by legislation without paying any heed to the capacities of the people at large, Buddhism has brought ruin upon India. I have come across many a “religious heron” [1] in India, who fed ants with sugar, and at the same time would not hesitate to bring ruin on his own brother for the sake of “filthy lucre”!

https://www.swamivivekananda.guru/2020/05/18/xv-5/#:~:text=Swamiji%3A Buddhism and Vaishnavism are,to be known as Vaishnavism.

if you want to know more about how Buddhist shrines are converted into hindu temples in south india, there is a book called " A history of South India " written by esteemed historian  K.A Nilakanta Sastri. Who explains about  some of the  Buddhist shrines that are converted into Hindu temples. I will give few quotes from this book

"At Ter in Sholapur dist and Chezerla in krishna dist are found Buddhist chaitya halls built in brick. perhaps in 5th century A.D and surviving to this date because they were appropriated to Brahmanical uses during the decline of Buddhism. We refer to trivikrama temple at Ter and Kopateswara temple at Chezarla "

(Page 434 last para to page 437 )

Ter and Chazarla were apparently the extension in Mahayana times of the Buddhist activity already set in motion under the Hinayana votaries in a good many centres in Andhrapatha of the Satakarnis and their successors in lower Krishna, as at Nagarjunakonda. These two places represent perhaps the only two extant vestiges of an almost complete apsidal brick temple which were originally dedicated to Buddhism and which by natural supercession of that creed by nascent Brahmanism, were converted to its use-at
least in the case of the latter.
They could perhaps be dated to the fifth-sixth centuries A.D. This temple at Chazarla is indeed of the greatest importance from the early architectural view point. The fact that the temple is called Kapotesvara and that Sibi lataka is sacred to Buddhism makes this old Buddhist chaitya of considerable significance. Its age is supported by an inscription in the temple by SatSabhamalla, the son of Avanitalantavati Mahadevi, the daughter of the king Kandara of the Ananda gotra line. This Kandara line is a rare dynasty and appears to have ruled in the Krishna area around fourth or fifth centuryA.D.

"Very different from Ladh Khan is the Durga temple fPl. IVa), which was another experiment seeking to adapt the Buddhist chaitya to a Brahmanical temple"

hindusim and buddism are both sanatan and are indian born religions and not religions brought by barbaric invaders outsiders who came to enslave local population
