Several parents are frustrated over the skyrocketing fees, hidden charges, and a lack of transparency. Parents across states like Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka share a common sentiment: The urgent need for regulation in school fees.

Telangana: Monopolised Preschools

Niharika, a software professional, is paying steep preschool fees. She pays ₹22,000 monthly for her two-year-old daughter at KLAY. The fees include ₹16,500 for tuition and ₹2,000 for meals.

“Despite the cost, there’s little accountability. The caregiver-to-toddler ratio promised was 1:4, but I often see only two or three caregivers managing over 15 kids,” she said.

“My daughter doesn’t display any new behaviors or skills taught at school. Education is turning into a commercial necessity for working parents,” she added.

In comparison, another preschool chain T.I.M.E, charges ₹55,000 annually, with better caregiver ratios. “Some high-end schools even charge in six figures annually for preschoolers,” a parent noted.

However, not every education institute was forthcoming with the fee. Yet another play-school refused to reveal its curriculum or the fee structure.

Upon further inquiry, an official said revealing the fee would go against the company’s policy. Many parents do not choose the institute based on the fees.

“We need to convince the parents why it is important for their children to join us,” the official said, requesting an in-person meeting. Exorbitant schools fees is a reality in all top cities.

Asalu 'Accountability' ane word mana Indian dictionary lo undha take any field u want

  • Food adulteration and world record pollution
  • Judiciary probably is the highly corrupt and biggest scoundrels you will ever see.
  • Corruption at any govt office at all levels starting from peon to highest officer
  • Private and govt offices run with the highest malpractices and bribes
  • From birth to death you will be dealing some form of fraud at every level

But one thing everyone sings is we are 'Sanatanis' and we treat everyone as 'Vasudeva Kutumb'. That one thing can satisfy the pathetic Egos and go back to their daily routine.

Reputed schools in Hyderabad wont give admissions if you want to join your kids 3rd standard or 4th. You have to join them from First class itself.

ppl brought this on themselves by getting in to the 'rat-race' !! 10 yrs ago .. there were many affordable schools in every town, but just to feel superior .. high earning individuals chose to patronise schools that came up with tags such as 'International' / 'Universal' / IIT-foudation / NEET-Foundation etc .. creating an impression that only such schools provide quality education!

Now we see almost every school (including pre-schools / play-schools) coming up wid such tags & charging exorbitant fees .. but wid no proper criteria that needs to be met, whatsoever to distinguish these schools from odr state-run / locally run private schools .. forcing even d middle class folks who'd invest highly on education to provide a better future to their kids .. left wid no option but to believe in this false reality that "Quality is synonymous with higher-price", which the schools being run as a business enterprise, take advantage of!

I am not targetting BJP or Congress here. Infact i used to support BJP policies selectively. But in recent times the FM has been a disaster with her tax policies and not sure Modi has any control except giving more money to crony capitalists.

Basically all are same ani artham ayyindhi. The corruption is core in the DNA of every desi and you can't change that no matter how great our GDP is or how much infra we develop. Where i get pissed off is that there is not an ounce of "Integrity or Ethics" left in anything they do but they have the audacity to talk about culture and how great their religion is.

I know with my own experience and not only that they selectively send people to onsite based on caste or if its a girl and what not. Basically lowlife scum bags posing as enlightened souls from great culture.

No wonder the country was always occupied by foreigners when  the only culture we know is "corruption".
