here is my experience using collagen source:

used to have knee joint issue, so started taking collagen from CVS. No knee stiffness and pain when i do a squat is very less, so felt really good after using it once. so kept using it for a year or so.

There are few collagen powder sources.

CVS  - cow bovine (working very well for me)  contains collagen 1&3. collagen 1 - good for skin, collagen - 3, good for skin and joints.

Costco - cow bovine (somewhat ok) - mentions that it contains collagen peptide , fish (did not find any use) .

there are also collagen tablets/liquid, but I find them not so useful.

I did not notice any side effects though, maybe consuming when mixing with water is tough for me initally, now i got used to it.

CVS collagen powder has some different taste, even though it says no flavour. I usually have it with yogurt. or put a scoop in dry cup and add water, usually there will small lumps that settle down in cup. Just consume it and hopefully your collagen related joint issues are resolved. good luck.

true, I did not think of real food source for the problem. In a very casual discussion across the table my brother suggested me to use collagen and I did.

Goat paaya is not available in my place and even if  it is, cooking and cleaning antha kodiga time consuming.

thanks for your input though...

I don't know if you have access to burnt legs but if you get burnt legs its as simple as cooking a mutton curry in a pressure cooker you just have to cook longer.

not necessarily just goat paaya; other parts of goat or lamb for example lamb shanks do have lot of collagen.
you can have food that help body produce more collagen too.
