If you can pay $100 per year you will get two terabytes per year on Google drive I think that's better plan it's more safe reliable no loss if you want to buy physical storage you never know if something happens to the physical storage all your data is gone so think about it you can even think about the Dropbox which is similar price you get unlimited storage

He is paying every year for that. Instead he can go with SSD for once. They do not fail for atleast 7yr. Even when they do, he can get a data recovery service which is cheaper. At the end, it is an individual's choice - whether he wants the convenience of accessibility in a Cloud service or whether he wants to feel more in control and values privacy more that he gets in local storage.

Get 4 bay NAs , SSD pettuko raid 0 or any other raid pettuko .. ye okka hardrive fail ayyina you can replace as data is cloned to subsequent hardrives

Qnap or synology are best ciz they are made in Taiwan.

They will cost between $500-$1000.(Depending on how many bays you want)

WD Red 4TB Nas costs $99, also you need not buy all hardwires at once . You can add them later but definitely start with 2 minimum
