As an Indian American 🇺🇸, I prefer having an American colleague over an Telugu/desi chit anytime . Too much politics/ruin of positive work culture with desi chit. May Not all but seen with many in my experience.

There are both good people and bad people amongst desis. You cannot judge an entire ethnicity based on experiences of few people here and there. 

It's all a matter of "insecurity" and how you manage your insecurities. Some people take this type mass judgment route to keep their insecurities at a low but this will not work forever.

Simple way is to just try to be like RGV, Puri Jagan sir etc. "Ramuism"

Never had Indian bosses...except one russian, all m y bosses were white...okadu maathram micromanage chesevadu because I was a contractor...heard worst stories about Indian managers from colleagues and friends though
