you should anyway sell the house in case of pack up . so chill and invest the rest in total market or 500 index fund.

Uncertainty unte you have keep more $$ with you NOT pay it to the Bank. Worse case scenario you will foreclosure or sell it for loss right? Upside, is everything stays the same.
