WTF man

I recently came across a post where an individual mentioned that their friend's daughter is earning money through OnlyFans. The person expressed uncertainty about whether they should bring this matter to the attention of the girl's parents. To my surprise, many commenters advised the individual to mind their own business, emphasizing that it is not their child and, therefore, not their concern. This situation shows the extent to which our society has normalized platforms like OnlyFans and the broader acceptance of adult content. Moreover, it underscores how disconnected we have become from one another, to the point where expressing genuine concern of a misguided child to her parents is met with criticism.

To those who argue it’s not their place to intervene, I would pose a question: If it were your child, and a friend or relative became aware of such circumstances, what would you expect of them?

While everyone has the right to live their life as they see fit, don't that freedom comes with responsibility?. Going down a questionable path, especially as a young individual, sets a precedent for others. Such actions have a ripple effect and could potentially influence more individuals into similar path. As Indians, we have grown up in close-knit communities that have significantly contributed to shaping us into who we are today. Our children will inherit the values and norms we establish now. If we continue to embrace individualism at the expense of community and allow questionable behaviors to flourish unchecked, we risk creating a society where mutual care and accountability are forgotten.

There is a Tamil proverb that resonates deeply: “Every action you do today will affect your future generations”. That is rightly said. This timeless wisdom serves as a reminder to choose our paths wisely and responsibly. Our decisions don’t just shape our lives—they create ripples that influence the lives of those who come after us.

By stepping in right situations, we not only support the individual but also contribute to a more responsible society for generations to come.

Feel free to share your thoughts and perspectives—I’m open to hearing different viewpoints and am ready to take any criticism on this post as well.
