Canada is a world leader in the production of many natural resources: 

Minerals: Canada's top five mineral products by value in 2022 were gold, coal, copper, iron ore concentrates, and potash. Other minerals produced in Canada include zinc, nickel, uranium, asbestos, sulfur, cadmium, and titanium. 

Energy: Canada is the world's second-largest producer of oil and the world's second-largest producer of hydroelectricity. Canada is also a major producer of natural gas. 

Diamonds: Canada is a world leader in the production of diamonds. 

Precious stones: The Canadian Shield is a source of precious stones, including diamonds.
