Daaku Event Canceled: A Thoughtful Decision by Balayya

The stampede at Tirupathi Vishnu Nivasam resulted in the loss of lives last night. The incident alerted the administration and in the light of the same, the makers of Daaku Maharaaj decided to call off the film’s pre-release event. The sources say that Balakrishna has taken the decision and insisted the makers make the announcement.

 

Since Tirupathi falls under the Rayalaseema region and the makers planned the event in Ananthapuram, which is also in Rayalaseema, Balakrishna felt that it was not appropriate to organize the event, especially when an unfortunate incident took place. There are speculations that Balakrishna might personally reach Tirupathi and meet the victims.

 

Daaku Maharaaj is scheduled for a grand release on the 12th of this month and the makers were betting high on this event. So far, Balakrishna has not taken part in the promotions aggressively, and he has not spoken anything about the film except in the promotional event held in the USA. 

Even in the recent press meet, the film’s producer, Naga Vamshi, assured that Balakrishna will be active and the Ananthapuram event is being organized grandly.

But, it is a good decision from Balakrishna to call off the event in the time of a crisis.
