Neighborhoods got leveled.. and many don’t have fire insurances or insurance companies already cancelled last month anta. That means these people lost everything? Just insane.

These insurance companies are Scum. Lets see how many people actually get the insurance money. They get into technicalities. They will have something to deny claim. Worse case, they will not have enough money and close shop.

This practice is clearly a violation of the zoning laws, turning our residential neighborhood into a smaller version of the Sunset Strip. I have also talked to people living on Stanley Ave. who tell me it is impossible for them to get out of the driveways because of illegally parked cars blocking their access to the street. Some of us have also talked with Nikhil Dandekar who works for the City of Los Angeles and is investigating 1871 North Stanley as one of a group of properties around the city that have been developed specifically to function as party houses. The police have come out and patiently explained to us that it is simply not a high enough priority, and the local fire station has advised me it should be the police and not their responsibility (even though the tiki torches could easily start the hill on fire). I urgently request that you take action to stop this illegal and dangerous practice. Sincerely, Susan L. Foster, Distinguished Research Professor, UCLA
