It is a number lifted from Wikipedia with links I provided. Sangh parivar is not a political organization. It has different organizations in different walks of life which have nothing to do with Hinduism or politics. Together it constitutes for ~30% of India's population. If you want to talk about politics, also includes Government of India. If you were to call it a terrorist organization, then India becomes a defacto terrorist country. The now lifted ban on RSS is only for Government organization to become members of Sangh parivar, which will only increase membership.
