Roads& Flyovers under SRDP was funded entirely by ₹6,300 Cr in loans & bonds, with repayments starting in 2024, crippling GHMC. In 2017, GHMC had a 0.9x debt-to-Surplus ratio—by 2023, debt skyrocketed to 7.8x Where did the money from City go? In 2023 alone, ₹15,900 Cr was raised from: Hyderabad HMDA Land auctions – ₹8,529 Cr ORR lease – ₹7,380 Cr Instead of funding Hyderabad’s development, this was allegedly diverted to election freebies! They had multiple auctions over the years and used for other purposes.
