Sorry to say bro you are already doomed .you are out of hands on technical experience since many years and now you have to compete with thousands of H1b folks for technical jobs with folks already currently in hands on technical position and with AI revolution companies are targeting managers and directors for layoff and it will be hard to get managerial position.better start changing your mindset to go back to india

People with mere managerial outlook are really struggling everywhere. Even Harvard MBAs are struggling  to find jobs these days. Future of software industry is bleak.
 

It’s better to realize this reality sooner than later.

5. fear about losses or difficulties in selling primary home and investment homes if we have to go back

6. thinking about kids future

living in India or US is a personal Personal choice but the problem here is 60 days rule is making everyone anxious and stressed. LinkedIn open cheyali antae bayam veysthundhi, too many people in market and since we are in leadership roles we get atleast 2-3 requests each week asking for any open roles. Every weekend idhae discussion from past 10 to 12 weeks. Everyone is tired, and stressed, coz it took long to built this career and thought this is the place where we can raise our kids, we expand our careers, we made good friends and relationships but day by day it’s getting worst reading social media or news about how unstable place US has become. Just wondering how are you handling it?

All the leadership roles should go away. No use with them. Only smart and developers are needed going forward.

Musk already propogating that. Managers are a joke. Machines/AI  will make decisions based on underlying data. It also removes the probability of human error.. Companies are ready to implement them soon.

Switch to consulting and run payroll if u cant find fte in 60 days .....

No worries mine is mid 2015 ,if it come it comes otherwise my kids will apply he is 7 now ..max inko 3 h1 extensions

Early 2015 ikkada... last time Dec 2014 varaku vachindhi.. I almost got every document ready anticipating my date will come and suddenly retrogressed.. Yevariki cheppali..

anyway, I'm also againt being a people manager.. Rejected all those offers since 2012.. I like to be as IC / or in Architect role. Atleast I don't lose technical capabilities...

Even till date I keep doing leetcode and DS problems in Python.. just as fun ...
