So, there’s this virgin, who hasn’t had sex yet. He meets this girl at school who he is totally into, especially since he’s a virgin that hasn't had sex yet. This virgin takes his sister trick or treating, and runs into the girl that he likes. They all decide to go to this witch house. Instead of not being a virgin anymore, he lights this black flame candle, and the witches come back from the dead. After this, chaos ensues. There’s a talking cat, a zombie, two of the HARDEST dudes ever (Ernie and Ice), and lots of fun. Spoiler alert: the virgin is still a virgin at the end of the movie. What is Pantheism?

Pantheism is a philosophical and religious belief that God and the universe (nature, existence) are one and the same. Unlike traditional theism, which sees God as a separate entity that created and governs the universe, pantheism holds that everything in existence is divine, and the universe itself is a manifestation of God.

Pantheism vs. Theism vs. Atheism

Belief System Meaning Belief About God
Theism Belief in God God is a distinct, personal being who created and governs the universe
Atheism Rejection of God Belief that God does not exist
Pantheism God and the universe are one God is not a separate being but is present in everything

Simple Examples:

  • Theism: "God created us and the universe."

  • Atheism: "There is no God."

  • Pantheism: "Everything in the universe is divine; the entire universe is God. Including me and You"

Pantheism in Indian Philosophy

Pantheism is closely related to Advaita Vedanta in Hindu philosophy. According to Advaita, the phrase "Aham Brahmasmi" (I am Brahman) means that each individual and everything in existence is part of the divine reality. This idea aligns with pantheism, where the universe itself is considered sacred and divine.

In essence, pantheism does not see God as a separate, personal deity but as the totality of existence itself.

I realized I'm one without knowing it's called pantheism.

I listened to most of these episodes and quite interesting way to learn about gita
