Nitazoxanide 200 mg (generic name: Nitazoxanide) is an antiparasitic and antiviral medication used to treat a variety of infections. It is effective against intestinal parasites like Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica, causing diarrhea and gastrointestinal issues.

Nizonide is also used to treat viral infections, including rotavirus diarrhea in children and infections caused by hepatitis C and cryptosporidiosis.

It works by interfering with the energy metabolism of parasites and certain viruses, stopping their replication.

Nizonide is usually prescribed for short-term use and should be taken as directed by a healthcare provider.
