Yes, dont let it flow towards the foundation. Have patience to level the sand for this.

hmm.. depends on the size. if small, you can use Mercury level - 6 ft.

Avoid buying similar to this... They get rough in no time. and easy to put up algae.

to check the grade uncle, paver veste you cannot do just DIY like that kada; Manchi tooling and effort pettali.

Contractor can charge $10,000 , DIY cost $1000. + You can get Calories burned. You need lot of patience for DIY.

drainage consider cheyyali if your backyard is prone to flooding depending on the grade. Slope unte natural ga will drain or else French drain pettali. It’s not rocket science but measure twice before you start working
