- Excellent communication skills

- Thorough knowledge of user interface principles and windows design standards.
- General knowledge of business process analysis and design principles and practices
- General knowledge of business process re-engineering strategies, concepts and best practices
- General knowledge of system design and documentation.
- General knowledge of project planning and estimation.
- General knowledge of project management.
- Some knowledge of the securities/mutual fund industry (terminology, procedures and regulations) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently (with minimal work direction)

Expectations:
- Coordinates project activities and leads some involving demos, test team meetings, feedback sessions, focus groups, and orientations.
- Educates users concerning systems development by initiating educational sessions, staff meetings and one-on-one discussions.
- Evaluates the current process and workflow for various business functions, documents findings, and recommends improvements.
- Analyzes the relationship between business functions and the system by preparing analysis documents (examples may include requirements, entity relationship models, dataflow diagrams, process specifications and design).
- Resolves issues between stated business requirements and what is technically feasible by identifying issues, evaluating alternative systems solutions, confirming with users and communicating the end result with the developers. Translates business and technical requirements between the users and developers.
- Ensures a quality end product by conducting thorough system testing.
- Conducts product software analysis to guide build vs buy decisions.
- Estimates and prioritizes tasks for software releases and implementation.
- Performs cost benefit analysis and assists in developing business cases for projects.
- Provides leadership in determining scope and participates in recommending priorities for system changes
- Leads on-going evaluation of system functions and designs and identifies areas for improvement.
- Prepares and distributes status reports and other updates to users and management.
- Communicates actively with users on system status, including system changes, problems, enhancements, and potential impacts.
- Coordinates & facilitates meetings including: schedules meetings, assists team members in preparing for meetings, summarizes and communicates outcomes to participants and stakeholders
- Participates actively in all, and in some cases leads, aspects of project management and control.
