    Exfoliate the skin daily. Use an exfoliate or facial scrub designed for acne prone skin such as Clearasil Blackhead Exfoliate. Purchase a scrub that contains salicylic acid. This acid works to remove excess skin cells and to expose the underlying tissue. It also helps the skin produce collagen, which will contribute to quicker cell turnover.

    Perform pore closing facial masks at least once per week. These masks help to tighten the pores and decrease the appearance of pimple holes or pockmarks. Wash the hands with antibacterial soap for at least 30 seconds, paying special attention to the fingertips. Cleanse the face with a facial exfoliate. Dry the face thoroughly before applying the facial mask with the pads of your fingers. Leave on for up to an hour and allow to dry and tighten. Peel off the mask or use a warm, moist washcloth to remove.

    Get a glycolic acid peel once every month to three months. These peels are more intensive than facial masks and can expose underlying skin tissue and decrease the appearance of pockmarks and pimple holes. In addition, get an extraction facial at least once a month to ensure no new pimples or blackheads form.

    Try a laser peel for deep pimple holes. A laser will remove several layers of skin and may eliminate pockmarks in one treatment. Laser treatments often take several weeks to heal however, and there can be complications. Discuss the possible problems and recovery time with your doctor before having the procedure. After laser treatment, other treatments can be used for maintenance or any leftover pockmarks.

    Use pockmark filler for any residual scarring or pimple holes. This product can be applied morning and night to reduce the appearance of acne scars. It can be used with makeup as well.
