Title: Junior Java Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6+ months

Description:

Expert in J2EE development: 2 - 3 years of experience

o Implement new application functionality in conjunction with other development team members

o Liaise with Quality Assurance Testers to ensure functionality meets expectations

o Provide level 2/3 production support

o Liaise with Primary Support staff to ensure successful operation of functionality post release

o Contribute ideas on technology and process to ensure the team is productive and successful

o Must have solid experience in UNIX/Shell scripting.

o Must have working knowledge of using the Spring framework.

o Demonstrated and working knowledge of databases (schema design, troubleshooting, SQL) with Sybase / SQL Server platform.

o Must have solid experience in UNIX/Shell scripting.

o Demonstrated and working knowledge of databases (schema design, troubleshooting, SQL) with Sybase / SQL Server platform.

Knowledge and Skills:
* 2 to 3 years experience with Java, Java Servlets, Java Server Pages
(JSP), JNDI, JavaScript, XML, HTML, DHTML or similar technologies
* Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated
Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).
* Ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
* Basic understanding of modern software design and development
methodologies such as Object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) and
Database Management Systems concepts
* Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server or Oracle and
SQL
* Understanding of basic Database Administration.
* Basic understanding of modern SCM (software configuration
management).
* Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and
testing methodologies.
* Understanding of quality and security standards
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
