Maradona Fined and Banned by FIFA

Agentina coach Diego Maradona has been handed a two month ban from all football related activity and also fined 25,000 Swiss francs (£14,800) by FIFA for his lewd comments and post-match rant after the World Cup qualifier against Uruguay on October 14.

The ban will run from November 15th to January 15th, which means he will miss the World Cup draw on December 4th.

The fiery South American, under pressure in the run-up to the do-or-die match, directed an expletive-laden tirade, broadcast live on TV, at his critics and reporters
