nina oka server ki network pani cheyaledu, mundhu baagane work chesedi, switch side chusthe antha baagane undi. nenu switchport maarchi ade some X vlan lo assign chesa. nina chusthe pani cheyaledu, ivaala mrng ochi chusthe adi trunk port ga maarindi and server pani chesthundi. Interface daananthalo ade trunk ga maara galuguthunda????? prasthuthaniki problem aite ledu, but reason ento telustaledu, daananthalo ade ela maara galigindani.

3 things check on switch side:

1) vlan config :

for ex:
interface vlan 100
ip add 172.23.4.254 255.255.252.0
no sh

2) interface config

int gig0/5
switchport
switchport access vlan 100
speed 1000
duplex full
no sh

other than this if any other commands under interface gig like " switch mode trunk" or "switch trunk encap dot1q" remove them

3) Server config :

lets us assume server has an IP add of 172.23.6.50 ( which falls in vlan 100 host range)

IP = 172.23.6.50
mask= 255.255.252.0 ( mask same as vlan mask)
default gateway = 172.23.4.254 (Vlan IP)

check speed & duplex ( atleast 1 end should be auto )
