naadi full time job in IT company... manager gaadu 2 options ichadu naaku...either in Vmware path or netapp,backups path... yedhi choose chesukovalo ardam kaavadam ledhu....I dont want to spend in data center and get mid night calls... any suggestions guys?

Good options icchadu. Bava 1 thing nuv storage field lo unte night calls, data centre life tapadhu adhi ne valla kadu anukunte field marchuko.

Regarding Netapp and back ups(vast) but once neku experience vaste chala baguntundhi.

Vmware also good but i need to know u r back ground like your experience in SAN/ vmware/

I am basically sys admin ba....mostly in linux (RHCE certd) and windows admin kooda choosthanu (even tough I hate it)... prasthutham nenu vmware company lo implement chesthunna with p2v conversions of about 100 physical servers.... few weeks back legato networker backups and data domain classes ki pampichadu and UC santa cruz lo vmware class chesthunna (will try to get cerfd in cpl of months)... I have basic knowledge abt netapp (I create basic stuff like creating LUNs, volumes and provisioning). Also, nenu India velthai unde position gurunchi kooda choosthuna... idi ba simple ga na story... ippudu I have too many things in my plate and my manager wants to get off load some stuff....
