Can We Apply For H1, While On 12 Month Opt?

I would like to know can i apply for H1 while on 12 month OPT. And Is there a specific time i need to apply or i can apply anytime?
What are the Plus and minuses if do so ???

kaani April first 2012 will be start of applications in ur case if u havent....

US lo unte no worries...3yrs visa iste...adi expire ayye lopu malli H1 extension apply seskovali..inko 3yrs ki....as simple as that...
