WTF dude... at this moment its too tough to get a STEM OPT Xtnsn.. in this moment.. Atleast STEM I-20 ayina undaa.. 30 days mundhu ayina pampaali actual gaa Extension ki processing fast gaa avvali anna kaani..

as Chitti said.. Better to find some School immediately fro the next 10 months..

not sure.. asalu I-20 lekunda extension ki pampina, mee vadiki kotha i-20 doubtey.. as he started processing after OPT is epired.. the School can;t generate the I-20 for Extension anukuntaa..


inak urgent gaa edho oka school lo admission pani chudaamanu.. mari inka..

SEVIS old school lo Valid untadhi. unti some point oof time after the OPT expires.. aa period ayyeopu old school SEVIS ni emi terminate cheyyakunda choosukuntey.. he can join a new school without leaving the country.. if he got a valid Student F-1 Visa on his./her passport..

so ipudu edhina school lo admission is the safe bet fro him to continue his job if he had one,. and find an employer who can manage pay chex on a different name and pay him cash after the taxes..

ala nenu 2 months school ki poyi malli H1 file chesaanu ,

in my case I got no CAP GAP I-20 and my OPT xtns expired a while ago and .. before Oct 1st and I was rejected even before 1st Oct ,,

and my DSO told me about thisoption of transferrign the SEVIS to a new School at the earliest so that I don't end up my status as an illegal student in this country..



so mee vaadu kudaimmediate gaa edina school lo admission teesukoni , SEVIS transfer ni initiate chesthey,, no blackmarks in his visa records orr history of being out of status kind of things.. I wen thru..

asalu aa I-20 OPT expire ayyaka evadu generate chestadu.. before It expired he may need to apply for that I-20 ani naa doubt.
mari ilanti case li nuvvu cheppina option inka unda..

So he shud transfer his sevis. He can't apply on his own Nd later he can send i20 from DSO. And he can't apply after opt expire. Antega mama. Chittinaidu cheppinattu cheyalema??

I am not sure bro.. Its better if u can speak to a DSO in some School if not their own school which is closed for holidays until jan 3rd.


I can;t bet on his future at this point without an official word from his School's DSO that they will issue him with a new I-20 after the OPT expiry date..

But .. While sending the OPT extension application, he need to send the copy of his current EAD card and it also says that OPT expired on the very same day.. so he need to check this option before he makes a move ...
