[b]Scholarship amount:[/b]

[font=Georgia,]The amount to be awarded to each scholar by way of the loan scholarship is determined by the norms, laid down for the purpose and does not cover the full cost of studies.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]The amount ranges between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 4,00,000. All applicants do not necessarily qualify for the maximum amount.[/font]

[font=Georgia,]All Indian nationals[/font]
[font=Georgia,]All age groups, upto the age of 45 years[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Scholars pursuing higher education in all areas and fields of study[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Scholars pursuing higher studies irrespective of course duration, the selected course being either a short term training program, or a full-fledged Master's or Doctoral program[/font]

[b]Eligibility:[/b]

[font=Georgia,]Graduates of a recognized Indian University,with a good academic record.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Students in the final year of the degree course and those awaiting final year results.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Academicians and other mid-career professionals upto the age of 45 years, with experience in their field who wish to go abroad for further specialization.[/font]


[b]Institute Profile:[/b]

[font=Georgia,]The JN Tata Endowment was set up in 1892 by the founder of the Tata group, Jamsetji N Tata, to encourage young people to take up higher studies at some of the best universities in the world. It is the first Tata benefaction in the field of education. The scholarships are awarded for higher studies abroad in all disciplines and subjects.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Selection process:[/font]

[font=Georgia,]Short listed candidates are required to come for a personal interview conducted by subject experts in Mumbai during March - June.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]The personal interview is mandatory.[/font]

[b]How to Apply:[/b][font=Georgia,] [/font]
[font=Georgia,]The prescribed application form can be obtained either personally from the Endowment's Administrative Office on payment of an application fee of Rs 100 by cash, or by sending a request by a 'money order' for the amount giving the applicant's full name and address in the 'Space for Communication' provided on both sides of the money order form.[/font]

[font=Georgia,]The forms can be obatined from December 5, 2011 to Febrauary 24, 2012 [/font]

[b]When to apply:[/b]

[font=Georgia,]Candidates applying for the scholarship should have applied for admission to the university they plan to join.[/font]
[font=Georgia,]Students awaiting admissions can also apply for the scholarship, the final award of which is subject to their securing admission and obtaining the relevant visa.[/font]
