Cbi Calls Ambati Rambabu For Questioning

Kakinada, Jan 4: CBI has called YSR Congress official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu for questioning in the EMAAR scam.

Rambabu told the media that though he had not received any written notice, some officer of the CBI had called him on phone and asked him about his availability so that a notice could be issued for a day suitable to him. He said he told the officer that he would be available at Hyderabad on the 7th of this month and could go over to the CBI office on 8th, a Sunday, if they work on that day.

Rambabu said the officer said that they would receive him on the 8th, despite the day being Sunday. He said the officer spoke to him very courteously.

Rambabu was the chairman of the APIIC when the EMAAR scam occurred.
