Tiff Between Police And Trs: Harish Faints

Warangal, Jan 4: There was a heated argument between the TRS activists and the police who pushed and jostled each other when Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao visited the JAC camp at Janagaon on Wednesday. Following the arguments, police have resorted to lathi charge in which four persons were injured. Police arrested Harish Rao and another TRS MLA Vinaya Bhaskar.

It is learnt that TRS workers lost their temper when police talked to Harish Rao harshly. Police tried to prevent Harish, Vinay and Kodandaram from visiting the hunger strike camp, fearing escalation of tension. There was a heated argument between the TRS cadres and police. It is learnt that Janagaon CI pulled Harish Rao by his shirt and the two sides pushed and jostled each other. Harish has fallen down and fainted. Sensing that the situation was going out of control, police have resorted to lathi charge in which four persons were injured. Police have also roughed up some media representatives. Later they have arrested Harish Rao and Vinaya Bhaskar.

TRS leaders have condemned the arrest of Harish Rao and Vinaya Bhaskar. They said it was strange that police were roughing up Telangana leaders for the sake of TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu. They said at least now TDP leaders of the region should know the real nature of Naidu, and demanded that the TDP chief should state his stand on Telangana, before stepping on the Telangana soil. They said even if Naidu comes with the garb of farmer friendliness, people would not believe him. They said people would give a shock to Naidu.

It may be mentioned here that the TRS has given a call to its cadres to prevent the proposed visit of Naidu to Warangal district on January 6. TDP leaders Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao and others have also given a call to TDP cadres to attack those who prevent Naidu from visiting the district. TRS has given a call of district bandh on the day of Naidu’s visit. Harish Rao and Kodandaram have gone to Janagaon to look after the arrangements for the bandh.
