Vijayamma’S Petition Shifted To Another Bench In Sc

New Delhi, Jan 5: YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijaya Lakshmi’s petition for transfer of her illegal assets case against TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and others from the AP High Court to another State High Court was transferred to another bench of the Supreme Court.

Vijayamma’s petition was posted before the bench of Justice Dipak Varma and Justice Bhandari. But Dipak Varma suggested that the petition be transferred to another bench as Reliance was named one of the respondents. He also made it clear that he would not take up any case where Reliance was a respondent.

It may be mentioned here that earlier, Mr Justice Dipak Varma quit the Gali Janardhana Reddy case as the role of Reliance was mentioned. Vijayamma had appealed to the Apex Court to shift her case against Naidu from Andhra Pradesh High Court of some other State High Court as ‘there was a chance that Chandrababu Naidu could influence the trial.
