Shastri ki main political opponent was moraji desai.... he expected that he would become PM after nehru

kaani Congress part gave the reins to Shastri

when shastri died.... guljarilal nanda was made interim PM and morarji was trying to collect support for hi candidacy......to keep check to him ... during this time k. kamraj ( AICC president) brought Indira into picture against Morarji

If not for Kamraj.. Indira would have not been PM at that time
