Ip To Vip- Sunil Reddy’S Dubious ‘Success Story’

Hyderabad, Jan 26: A popular Telugu newspaper has published a news report linking Sunil Reddy who was arrested by the CBI on Wednesday in connection with the Emaar scam and his father Narreddy Reddy had helped Jagan in acquiring wealth as his benamis and in the process became wealthy themselves.

The report said Sangi Reddy was director in several companies owned by Jagan along with other associates. The companies named were Himurja Infra, which Jagan acquired in Sikkim, and Keylon Technologies. The report also said that RR Globals which was a company floated by Jagan to turn the kickbacks he had received, into investments in Sakshi newspaper also had Narreddy Sangi Reddy on its board. RR Global has made crores of rupees by selling the illegally mined iron ore at Obulapuram by the now jailed BJP leader Gali Janardhana Reddy. Of this money Rs. 81.5 crores was diverted to Sakshi as investment. Likewise, the report also states that Sangi Reddy and his son Sunil Reddy were directors of companies including Invar Steels P. ltd, Blumery Steel Industries, Scanner System and Technology and Radial companies which had initial capital of Rs. 1 lakh. However these companies received huge funds later. These funds also might have been diverted into Sakshi, as white money the report suggests.

Stating that only few years ago companies owned by Sangireddy and his son Sunil Reddy had declared IP (bankruptsy), Sangi Reddy has been buying lands on a large scale not only in Pulivendula, but also in Anantapur and Kadiri areas.

Sunil Reddy’s arrest might unravel several mysteries in the coming months.
